A Bexleyheath crash involving a truck, cars and a wall, created a huge backlog of traffic in a residential road heading to the A2.
The smash in Dallin Road this morning meant that drivers using Sydney Road were stuck in traffic as the debris was cleared.
A Met spokesman said: "At 8.50am on Dallin Road a truck has been reported in collision between some vehicles and a wall.
"No one was injured - the wall was damaged."
Highways England has since stated that traffic has returned to normal.
