A man has been taken to hospital after he was reportedly assaulted in Belvedere.

The incident allegedly took place in Woolwich Road, near the junction with Harold Avenue, at about 10am today (April 26).

A man in his 40s was found suffering injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.

Enquiries by Bexley Borough officers into the circumstances of the reported assault are ongoing – and no arrests have been made.

Woolwich Road is closed both ways while police carry out investigations.

A Met Police spokesman said: “We were called at 10.25am to reports of a man being assaulted in Woolwich Road.”
