A "talented" toy store assistant from Dartford will pass on her passion for cartoons to the next generation, when she teaches kids to draw Disney inspired doodles in Bexleyheath.

Renata Algar drew cartoon versions of her colleagues to brighten up staff lockers at The Entertainer in Broadway Shopping Centre, where she has worked for more than three years.

Her manager was impressed and now the 28-year-old, who was inspired by watching SMart in the 90s, will teach masterclasses to young shoppers in the store this half term.

Miss Alger said: "I've always doodled but I didn't think about doing anything with them really, it was just a side-line.

"But now seeing people's reactions I'm realising maybe I could do something with it.

"I really love my job at The Entertainer, I love working with children and I also love art, so getting to combine my two passions with these workshops is great."

The Entertainer manager Caron Linyard added: "Renata's just brilliant, she's really talented and we've been encouraging her to do more drawings because the staff love them so much.

"Her drawings are so simple and fun. They're really cute and I think a lot of children will enjoy having a go and learning how to draw like this for themselves."

The classes will take place between 11.30am and 2pm, next Monday (15), Wednesday and Thursday.
