A six-mile police chase through Bexleyheath and Charlton ended up with a car smashing into a traffic island as it lost control.
Police in a marked car attempted to stop a vehicle in Danson Road, Bexleyheath, at 11.39pm last night (February 1).
But the car did not stop or slow down, and police gave chase.
MORE TOP STORIES Officers pursued the occupants for more than six miles into Charlton, when the fleeing driver overtook a car but lost control.
It smashed into a traffic island and finally came to a stop.
No one was injured in the crash.

Two men, aged 26 and 27, were arrested at the scene for failing to stop, dangerous driving and damage to vehicle.
They were taken to a south London police station.
Buses were on diversion following the crash as the wreckage was blocking some of the road.
Route 486 is diverted southbound due to a road traffic collision blocking Charlton Church Lane at Woolwich Road, SE7.
