The Met Police have reissued a murder appeal one year after a 23-year-old man was shot dead during a party in Thamesmead.

Chleve Massi, also known as Clive, had only just arrived at the birthday party in Sark Tower, Erebus Drive, when he was shot in the chest while in the hallway of the 13th floor flat.

As part of their investigation the police are offering a £20,000 reward to identify his killer and bring them to justice.

Chleve arrived at the flat along with four of his friends at around 4.20am on February 1, 2015.

Detectives believe that around 70 people had been to the party that evening, but by the time Chleve and his friends arrived there was only half that number.

After Chleve was shot his friends carried him out of the flat, and left Sark Tower in three cars including a grey Audi A3 and a dark blue Ford Focus.

Officers, who were responding to reports of a shooting from neighbours, came across the Audi A3 and the Ford Focus stopped on Western Way, Thamesmead, where they found Chleve critically injured.

London Ambulance Service paramedics took Chleve to hospital, where he died later that morning.

A post-mortem examination held at Greenwich Mortuary gave cause of death as a gunshot wound to the chest.

Detective Chief Inspector Graeme Gwyn, who is leading the investigation, said: "Chleve had literally just walked through the door of the party when he was shot.

"There are a number of people who were there that night, who must know what happened, and who was responsible for firing the gun that killed Chleve.

"One year on from Chleve's murder, it is not too late for you to speak out and tell us what you know.

"A year can be a long time, friendships and allegiances change.

"If you were at that party that night and know who is responsible, it is important that you are brave enough to come forward.

"We can offer you support and confidentiality, but please help Chleve's family get the answers they deserve.

"There is now a reward of up to £20,000 in place for information that can help catch whoever murdered Chleve."

Detectives retain an open mind as to the motive behind Chleve's murder.
