Bemused passers-by spotted a car which had mounted not only the pavement but also a two-foot high brick wall in Bexleyheath Broadway yesterday (October 1).

The crash happened outside the Bexley police station - near TK Maxx and outside Geddes Place Church - at 12.15pm.

It is not thought that anybody was injured.

Witness Fredrick Roe, 19, told News Shopper: "I was a bit dumbfounded as to how you can wheelie a car - there's a first time for everything I suppose.

"But in total honesty, I found it funny above everything. Hysterical is probably the best adjective."

He added: "You can see it has hit some kind of bollard.

"As it's gone over the bollard, it seems to have propelled itself with its front two wheels landing, and remaining suspended on, a wall standing about two feet high.

"There were plenty of pedestrians standing around taking pictures."

A Met Police spokesman said: "We were called to outside Bexley Police Station on the Broadway, to reports of a car having mounted the pavement and collided with a brick wall."

Meanwhile Frances Jones wrote: "Oops! Wonder if they get a ticket lol..

"No idea how they managed to get this far up the post as I drive this route six times a day and am yet to hit 20mph down here!"
