A Bexley family have raised an impressive £26,000 for the children's hospital who treat their five-year-old son.
Benji Ballard was born with chromosomal abnormality and has had several operations, including open heart surgery, at Evelina Children's Hospital at St Thomas'.
His parents Katie and Toby Ballard fundraise tirelessly for the hospital's charity - and hosted a food festival last Saturday (September 26).
The KTB Physio directors opened their Mill Meadows Farm home to the public and made a further £4,200 with a buzzing BBQ and cookery demonstration from TV chef Tony Tobin.
Their vast garden became a mini festival arena, with market streets selling local produce, a tipple tent, live music, children’s tractor rides, a fire engine, bouncy castle and face-painting.
The Ballards said: "The event was a resounding success with a fantastic atmosphere, brilliant sunshine and lots of happy families exploring the stalls and enjoying the entertainment.
"We are delighted to have raised so much for the hospital, to say thank you for all the amazing work they do."
The Ballards also have a younger son, called Henry.
