Rumours of an Indian summer look unlikely this week with an autumnal mixture of clouds and sunny spells.

After yesterday's sunshine today's Met weather forecast predicts a fine and dry day with some overcast periods and prolonged sunny spells.

Throughout the week looks mostly dry, again with some sun and a healthy dose of clouds.

The cool, crisp mornings look set to continue into next month with lows of 10c. before the temperature begins to drop.
