Two children escaped a house fire in a block of flats in Thamesmead.
A fire broke out on the fourth floor of a 12 storey block of flats in Wolvercote Road, Thamesmead, in the early hours of this morning.
MORE TOP STORIES One man, thought to be 42, suffered burns to his legs and was treated by the the London Fire Brigade (LFB).
He was taken as a priority to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich, by the London Ambulance Service (LAS).
Another person in their 40s and two children left the house before the LFB arrived suffering from smoke inhalation.
In total the LAS treated three people for burns after sending a hazardous area response team, two ambulance crews, a duty station officer, and a responder by car.
The LFB were called at 4.40am this morning (August 29) and tackled the blaze which damaged half of the four room flat.
