Children, families and supporters of Bexley Portage, a home-visiting educational service for children with complex support needs, have held a big party to celebrate the service's 20th anniversary.

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Bexley, coun Sybil Camsey and David Burt, joined families and professionals of Portage - based at Queen Mary's Hospital in Sidcup - for the celebrations.

The outdoor party at Danson Park Children's Centre included face painting and bouncy castles.

Senior Portage worker Kelly Wilkinson said: "Bexley Portage Service is very proud to be celebrating our 20 year anniversary and as a team we were somewhat overwhelmed with the fantastic response we had.

"I think it is fair to say that everyone who was able to attend had lots of fun and enjoyed the entertainment provided.

"As a team we were somewhat overwhelmed with the fantastic response we had."
