Last weekend three Bexleyheath girls hit the TV screens in the family show Keep It in the Family hosted by Bradley Walsh.
The local girls, Caitlin Garcia, 11, Verity South, 12 and Lanre Akinjaju, 9, sung their hearts out in a stunning performance alongside 23 other young stars in their original take on a Mary Poppins stage performance.
The troupe named Supercalifragilisticexpia performed a quirky medley of songs from the musical Mary Poppins which in turn formed part of the new prime-time game-show.
All three girls are members of the Spirit Young Performers Company, a group set up to provide a platform for performers under the age of 16. As a result of her membership with the company, Caitlin has even performed in the smash-hit West End musical, Gypsy.
The well-known TV show has been produced by Simon Cowell and appeared shortly before X-Factor. Perhaps these girls are the answer to the recently announced hiatus of One Direction?
The girls’ performance was aired at 7pm, on ITV, Saturday, August 22.
