Police are hunting two moped riders who were part of a gang armed with samurai swords and crowbars that stole £630,000 worth of goods in a spate of burglaries across Bromley and Bexley.

Aggravated burglaries were carried out in Barton Road, Sidcup, and St Georges Road and Edward Road, Bromley, on the morning of June 19.

Suspects had also raided addresses in Greenways and Hayes Way, Beckenham, and Camden Park Road, Chislehurst.

Police stopped a minicab in Downham a short while later and arrested two men before recovering the stolen property, two mopeds and several weapons.

Two suspects are still being sought in connection with the burglaries.
