A teenage musician from Sidcup has won a prestigious award, and will receive up to £2,000 in financial support.
Cleeve Park School pupil Isaac Pascoal De Freitas was one of 103 'exceptional young instrumentalists' to be recognised by the charity Awards for Young Musicians (AYM) this year.
The 15-year-old, who plays the alto saxophone, will have access to workshops with professional musicians, musical master-classes and long-term mentoring support as a result.
Head teacher Jenni Tyler-Maher said: "We are very proud of Isaac’s musical achievements.
"During his time at Cleeve Park School we have seen him develop into a confident and sensitive musician, performing regularly at musical events in and outside of school.
"He is a strong and positive role model to our younger students and we very much look forward to seeing him develop further."
