A police helicopter circled over Sidcup last night (May 18), in the hunt for an attempted burglar.

Met Police were called just before 1am to reports of a burglary in progress in East Rochester Way.

The National Police Air Service (NPAS) and dog unit joined the man hunt, but the suspect was not caught.

 


 

A Met Police spokeswoman said: “We were called at 00.59 his morning to reports of a burglary in progress in East Rochester Way.

“It was at an out-building, not a residential property.

“The helicopter assisted in the search.

“It looks like nothing was taken, they were distuburbed.

“The suspect was not located.”
