Fire crews tackled a portacabin blaze in a building yard in Hartslock Drive, Thamesmead yesterday (May 14) at around 6.15pm.
Plumes of thick black smoke filled the sky as two fire engines from Plumstead and Erith tackled the flames.
A spokeswoman from the London Fire Brigade said the portacabin was 50 per cent damaged by the blaze.
The fire was under control by 18.35pm.
