There were reports this morning (April 23) of Welling School going into shutdown as a "drunk" woman was arrested.
The incident happened at the Elsa Road school at around 8.30am.
A police spokeswoman confirmed the arrest, saying: "The police were called at 8.33am to reports of an incident at a school in Elsa Road.
"A woman, age unknown, was arrested for public order offences."
A spokeswoman for Welling School said: "This morning in the school reception there was a distressed person (not connected to the school).
"This person was spoken to by staff; the police were called and dealt with the situation.
"This matter has now been resolved."
