Aldi will submit a planning application to build a store on Crayford Island.
The supermarket giant has urged residents to support their application to build at a site off Parkhurst Road.
Residents have voiced their concerns over plans claiming the area 'already has enough supermarkets.'
Margaret Concannon, 78, of Crayford Way received a leaflet through her door asking for feedback on plans to open a Crayford store in 2016.

Mrs Concannon said: "We've got a big Sainsburys, we've got a supermarket and they want to build it opposite.
"I think it's ridiculous, it will just make more traffic, we don't need it."
A spokesman for Aldi said: "We have secured a site at Crayford Island. "We will shortly be submitting our planning application and would encourage people to support our application and provide feedback to the local authority in due course."
