Bexley Council are encouraging south east London residents to explore the green chain, with guided walks and spring lambing on offer.
It is a 50-mile network of 300 open spaces across Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark, comprising some of London’s nature reserves and historic buildings.
Upcoming events include a guided, semi-urban walk from Abbey Wood to Crayford on April 26, and spring lambing at Woodlands Community Farm in Welling on April 12.
Entry is £1 for adults and 50p for children to see the new-born lambs and take part in a treasure hunt or craft activities, from 11am to 4.30pm.
