The London Fire Brigade were called out to reports of a shop fire in Blackfen but found just rubbish alight.
A spokesman for the LFB confirmed they were called to Blackfen Kebab Shop, in Blackfen, earlier today (March 1).
A passer-by called the emergency services after smelling something and spotting smoke.
MORE TOP STORIES But on arrival, the two fire engines found just rubbish on fire.
A spokesman said: "There was just some rubbish alight at the back of the shop.
"It wasn't a big fire."
