A man found dead in the River Cray at Crayford died from natural causes.

Herbert Wilson, who was in his 70s, was found on the banks of the river just off Crayford Way at 10.50am on December 31 last year.

South London Coroners have confirmed that no inquest will be held into the death as Mr Wilson died from natural causes.

Linda Woods, granddaughter of an old friend of Mr Wilson, described him as 'a loving man.'

She said: "I will miss him so much. Sleep tight with Nan now, Herbert."
