TV – Fortitude, starts 9pm on Thursday, January 29, on Sky Atlantic

Sky brings out the big guns for its mega-budget new show. It’s very Nordic noir with a murder in a close-knit remote arctic town. It stars Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci, Crayford-raised Michael Gambin, Christopher Eccleston and The Killing’s Sofie Grabol.

DVD – Gone Girl, cert 18, out Monday, February 2

David Fincher’s tense thriller based on Gillian Flynn’s book was hit at the multiplexes and, as of next week, you’ll be able to watch it at home. The film picked up four Golden Globe nominations and star Rosamund Pike is up for a Best Actress Oscar.
