A man had to be cut out of his vehicle after a five-vehicle crash on the A2 yesterday (January 20).

An ambulance crew was sent to the scene at Rochester Way, southbound, near the Danson interchange just after 6pm.

LAS and LFB were present at the scene were a man had to be cut out of his vehicle.

Paramedics treated one man, reported to be in his 30s, for back pain. The patient had to be cut free from his car by the London Fire Birgade.

He was taken to King's College Hospital as a priority.

The accident caused disruption around the area for several hours.
