A Bexleyheath man has spoken of his devastation over losing his wedding ring while Christmas shopping in Dartford.

David Osborn took his 16-month-old son out to the Priory Shopping Centre near Lowfield Street on Sunday (December 14).

They went to the 99p Store and Poundland before returning to the car an hour later, at 11am.

He drove towards Bexley to meet his wife, Nicola, and then realised he was no longer wearing his white-gold wedding band.

The father-of-two believes it dropped off whilst shopping in Dartford and is desperately appealing for its return with the offer of a reward.

Mr Osborn, of Landsdowne Avenue, Bexleyheath, said: "It’s ridiculous that I’m a risk manager and I’ve lost my wedding ring.

News Shopper:

"We only celebrated our wedding anniversary a few months ago as well so it’s especially sad.

"I was doing some Christmas shopping in the 99p Store and Poundland of all places.

"I think my finger might have shrunk in the cold weather and it could have fallen off when I got my wallet out of my jeans."

"It's never been lost before, I always put it on every morning so I know I was wearing it.

"My wife and I are both gutted."

News Shopper:

The 29-year-old is hoping someone will spot the ring and return it.

He said: "It won’t be worth much money, it’s only nine carat, but it’s got huge sentimental value.

"I’m offering a reward so hopefully I can help someone else out as well.

"It would be the best Christmas present to get it back."

The ring is white gold, is 10mm wide and contains the engraving ‘Dave & Nic 31/07/09' on the inside.
