One hundred people enjoyed musical performances and talks as they came together to celebrate black history month.
The four-hour event, on Saturday (October 25) at Belvedere Community Centre, Mitchell Close, was attended by people aged 13 to their 50s and 60s.
It was organised by company IPD Enterprise, who look for and nurture singing and rapping talent from the local community, and included musical performances and talks on slavery and equality.

"It was very engaging. We had people doing talks and performances from people involved in IPD.
"IPD are a really positive thing for the community."
