Firework season is upon us again, so get ready for some whizz bangs, sparklers and candy floss.

Vibe’s rounded up some of the big displays in south east London and north Kent so you can plan your evening.

Dartford fireworks

This year, the fireworks in Central Park are on November 1. Organised by Dartford Lions and other local Lions groups, it kicks off with a fun fair from 5pm before the bonfire at 7.15pm and firework display at 8pm. Entry costs £5 for adults on the gate and £3 children.

Advance tickets (£4/£2) are available at Craft Frames and Londis in West Hill, Asda Living and EllenorLions Hospice Shop in Spital Street.

Brands Hatch fireworks

The racing circuit’s fireworks are on Sunday, November 2, and are part of its truck racing spectacular. Entry to the fireworks is free with your ticket and there will also be a funfair. The display takes place on the Southbank opposit the pits between 4.30pm and 5pm. The racing costs £22 for the weekend online or the same price on the gate on Sunday. Weekend camping is free, as are children under 13. Advance tickets can be bought until noon on October 29. Go to brandshatch.co.uk

Chislehurst Rotary

Chislehurst Rotary Club is again going big with its display at The Glebe Football Club (formerly Old Elthamians) on Saturday, November 1. Gates open at 6pm with the fireworks at 7.30pm. Entry costs £6 for adults and £3 for under 14s in advance or £7/£4 on the gate. Go to bit.ly/ChisFire

Erith Leisure Centre

Tickets are on sale now for the Avenue Road leisure centre’s fireworks which take place from 6pm to 9pm on Friday, November 7. Go to leisurecentre.com/erith-leisure-centre

Westerham Scouts’ Firework Spectacular

The scouts bring their firework display back to King George’s Field on Saturday, November 8. There will be a bar and barbecue with doors opening at 5.3pm and the display at 6.30pm.

West Wickham

This year is West Wickham Rotary Club’s 20th anniversary display. Gates open at 6pm on Saturday, November 8, with the display at 8pm at Langley Park School for Girls in Hawksbrook Lane.

There will be hot drinks, food, glow sticks and other bits and pieces. Tickets cost £6 adults and £3.50 children. Under 5s go free. Family tickets £14.  Go to westwickhamfireworks.co.uk or follow @WestWFireworks on Twitter.

Leeds Castle Fireworks ‘Go Wild’

This year, the castle’s fireworks will be accompanied by music inspired by animals of the world and moving images and is a two night extravaganza. Get in early for Go Wild entertainment, hot food and drinks, stalls and definitely make sure you’re there before the display at 5.30pm on November 8 and 9. Danson Park

Welling Round Table’s popular display is on Saturday, November 1. Gates open at 6pm with the fun fair and the 25-minute display begins at 8pm. The fun fair continues until 9.15pm. Norman Park

The big one in Bromley is on Saturday, November 1, with gates opening at 5pm and a fun fair before the bonfire is lit at 7.30pm and the display starts at 8pm. Entry costs £5 adults and £5 children. Free for under threes.

Beckenham

Beckenham’s Round Table event again features a fun fair and is at Croydon Road Recreation Ground on Saturday, November 1. Gates open at 6pm and the fireworks start at 8pm. Entry costs £7 for adults and unaccompanied children or £4 for children under 16.

Crystal Palace

The Crystal Palace extravaganza on Wednesday, November 5, has a couple of displays, with a children’s display at 7pm and the main showcase at 8.30pm. The gates open at 6pm and it costs £6 in advance for adults, chidren older than 11 and unaccompanied, or £7 on the gate. For children aged three to 10 it is £4 advance and £5 on the gate. Blackheath

One of the biggest displays in London, the fireworks are expected to attract around 100,000 people. This year’s takes place on Saturday, November 1, at 8pm. As in previous years, there will be food and drink from 5pm and a fun fair from 4pm.

Brockwell Park

The fireworks at Brockwell Park are one of the few displays on Fireworks Night, Wednesday, November 5. There will be a bonfire, fun fair, food, a bar, craft stalls and lots of entertainment. Entry costs £7 in advance, under 16s go free. Go to lambeth.gov.uk/events/fireworks.

SOLD OUT - Birkbeck Primary School - SOLD OUT

The Alma Road, Sidcup, school’s display on November 7 will doubtless also be host to a lot of fun and frivolity. The event starts at 4.30pm and goes on to 7pm. Tickets are limited and in advance only. Ticket enquiries to birkbeckptafireworks.com.

Gravesend

The council’s firework display on the Thames is on Friday, November 7. It’s free and starts at 8pm. Go to gogravesham.co.uk for all the latest info.

Kent Life, Maidstone

The bonfire and spectacular at Kent Life - from 3pm to 9pm, on Saturday, November 8 - features firebreathers lighting the bonfire, face painting, water zorbing, fairground rides, glow sticks and a bar.
