An event raising money in memory of Bromley teenager George Verrier was held at a Welling primary school and attended by Capital Radio DJ Dave Berry.

The event, at Clever Cloggs Nursey School, Berwick Road, was organised by George's aunt, Chloe Eales, who manages the nursery.

She was hoping to drive sponsorship ahead of a 5k military mud run, which she and 34 other women, calling themselves 'George's Angels', will take part in over the weekend.

The money is being donated to charity London's Air Ambulance.

London Air Ambulance's community partnerships manager Christine Margetts said: "The team has raised an impressive sum of money already and we’re delighted to be here to express our gratitude and to give ‘George’s Angels’ a bit of muddy encouragement."
