Slade Green Library will close its doors for the last time on Saturday.
The library in the old Howbury Centre in Slade Green Road will be close at 1pm on September 27 .
A brand new purpose-built library is set to open two weeks later, on October 13, in the new Slade Green and Howbury Community Centre also in Slade Green Road.
The new community centre and library will be managed by Eco Communities and Greener Bexley.
During the two week closure, library users can return or borrow books from any of the borough's other libraries. Items can be renewed by telephone or online as normal.
The new Slade Green and Howbury Community Centre and Library is part of an £8.5m investment by the Council in Slade Green.
