A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the chest in Erith.

Bexley police were called to West Street at 4.15pm yesterday (April 16) to reports of a boy being stabbed.

Officers arrived to find the 16-year-old with a stab wound to his chest.

He was treated at the scene and taken by land ambulance to a central London hospital in a serious condition.

The London Air Ambulance was also called at 4.15pm and landed next to the Running Horses pub in Erith High Street.

A section of the pub was taped off while a police investigation was carried out.

A member of staff at the pub told News Shopper: “A couple of regulars said police told them there has been stabbing.

“I think they were looking for a weapon.”

A Met Police spokesman said no arrests have been made yet.
