THE Bexley Heritage Trust is calling for residents to loan Danson House their pieces of a famous art work.
Chinese artist and political activist Ai Weiwei’s 2010 Tate Modern installation Sunflower Seeds saw him fill the gallery’s turbine hall with 100,000,000 hand painted ceramic seeds.
Many who saw the show made off with one or more for themselves and Bexley curators Day and Gluckman are hoping any owners in the borough will come forward to help them with a new exhibition.
Couriers of Taste will run from April to October exploring themes of international trade, global consumerism and cross-cultural influences.
Seed owners can e-mail seeds@dansonhouse.org.uk before March 8 to apply for a pre-paid envelope and a loan form and all seeds will be kept separate before being returned at the end of the exhibition.
