FIREFIGHTERS believe a blaze inside a ground floor flat in Sidcup was started deliberately.
Three fire engines and fifteen firefighters were called after receiving reports of a blaze in Waring Road at 1.40pm on Saturday (January 5).
The initial 999 call to London Fire Brigade suggested there may have been someone inside the property but on arrival, the flat was found to be empty and no one was injured.
Crews from Sidcup, Eltham and Orpington had the fire, which damaged a large part of the flat, under control by 2.10pm.
Fire investigators were called in and believe the fire was started deliberately.
