A TEENAGE boy is in a "critical but stable" condition after a crash in Sidcup this morning.

The 17-year-old pedestrian was involved in a collision with a seven-tonne box van lorry in Edgington Way, near Tesco.

The air ambulance's rapid response car was called to a reports of a road traffic collison at 7.30am.

Paramedics treated the boy for life-threatening injuries before he was taken by land ambulance to King's College Hospital.

Police closed the road between the A20 Sidcup bypass, A224 Cray Road and A211 Maidstone Road shortly before 8am.

It was fully reopened at 10.20am.
