POLICE have confirmed a man was found dead at a house in Hurst Road, Sidcup on Monday.

He has been named locally as Lee Brooks and is thought to be in his mid-30s.

A Bexley police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at 8:30am on Monday, December 10 to a man unconscious at an address in Hurst Road, Sidcup.

"London Ambulance Service attended and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Inquiries into his death continue to establish the circumstances.

"A post-mortem will be carried out in due course and the death is not being treated as suspicious."

A spokeswoman for London Ambulance Service added: "An ambulance was called at 8.28am on December 10 to an address in Hurst Road.

"We sent a single responder in a car, an ambulance crew and a duty officer.

"Sadly the patient, a man, was dead at the scene."

A Facebook tribute page to Lee Brooks was created on Monday and has already received more than 1,000 likes.

Under the words "RIP Lee Brooks – you shall be missed" an array of tributes have been left.

Erol Mustafa said: "Brooksey mate....still can't think straight.....can still hear ya screaming me name out n driving me crackers".

Steve Brooks added: "Feel sorry for the family at this time of year, a loss at Xmas is truly tragic! Rip".

Robbie Mark wrote: "R.I.P Lee. I remember working with him he was a top geezer".
