Charity shop encourages Erith residents to de-clutter their homes this Christmas
2:31pm Wednesday 5th December 2012 in Bexley By Alan Woods
ERITH homeowners are encouraged to de-clutter their homes this Christmas and help a children’s charity.
The Barnardo’s charity shop, located inside Erith Riverside Shopping Centre, is appealing for donations over the festive season.
In particular, the Erith branch needs donations of bric-a-brac and clothing although electrical goods, linen and shoes would also be much appreciated.
All profits will go towards the charity’s on-going work with children, young people and their families across the country.
Erith Riverside Shopping Centre manager Barry Owens said: “Christmas is a time for giving and with too many children in the UK still living in poverty, it’s paramount that everyone contributes to help improve their standard of living.
“Barnardo’s really needs as much as possible and something that might seem insignificant can make a huge difference to children’s lives.”
