The Fast and Furious movies are rarely described as chick flicks but a cinema in Greenwich is playing with that definition with its latest stunt.

Odeon has invited a flappable force of Easter chicks to review the films being screened in its south east London multiplex this weekend.

In a move bound to ruffle the feathers of some film critics, the cinema chain brought the traditions of Easter to the big screen by inviting 20 chicks and three bunnies to review trailers of the latest blockbusters in order to help you choose.

Their reactions were measured by  animal expert Debbie Connolly.

And who would have guessed, the fluffy animals enjoyed all of the films being shown at Greenwich Odeon.

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Home and Big Hero 6 to be the most enjoyable films for the animals - who were found to react well to films with bright colours, fun and jovial soundtracks and films without particularly loud or sharp noises.

Whilst the Easter chicks remained active, animated and interested throughout each trailer, the Easter bunnies had a contrasting experience and maintained a composed, relaxed and chilled-out pose throughout each film.

Animal expert, Debbie Connolly, said "It was fascinating to see the chicks and bunnies reacting to light and movement and displaying a range of behaviour.

“The chicks showed their inherited ability to display happy chirps and engage with each other.

“It was interesting to see the boldest chicks leading the way, deciding it was a safe environment and then standing upright with their feathers elevated - once they started cheeping, the rest soon followed and ran around happily, engaging with each other noisily.

“Overall, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water was the film they liked the most and showed the biggest happy response to.”

How the chicks and bunnies rated the movies:

The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water - 10/10

Home - 9/10

Big Hero 6 - 9/10

Fast & Furious 7 - 8/10

Cinderella - 8/10

The Divergent Series: Insurgent 7/10
