LEWISHAM Healthcare NHS Trust's choir is through to the final of Gareth Malone's The Choir: Sing While You Work.

The BBC2 show has followed choirs from four organisations, including the Royal Mail and Manchester Airport alongside the trust, battle it out.

In last night's programme, the singers went head to head for a chance to get into next week's final.

With each choir given a new song, Gareth piled on the pressure in the semi-final forcing each of them to create a distinctive performance routine in order to stand out.

The choirs all had less than four weeks to prepare before they had to perform in front of the three expert judges at Bristol's prestigious Colston Hall.

And the Lewisham choir wowed judges with their performance of Johnny Mercer's Accentuate the Positive. Manchester Airport were the unlucky group who missed out.

The final goes out next Thursday at 9pm on BBC2.
