BROMLEY’S creative writers are being encouraged to join an ongoing animation experiment across the UK.

Young film maker Phil Hardy, 24, of Wiltshire, is collecting stories across all 92 British counties to create a cartoon called Animate The Nation.

Mr Hardy, who started the project in May, currently has 72 counties on board but needs writers across the boroughs of London to contribute, including Bromley.

He said: "It is going to be real people telling their story not just the Queen drinking tea."

To do the project Mr Hardy has had to tighten the purse strings but is currently talking to TV companies about showing the end product.

He said: "I have moved back in with my parents so I can afford to make the project. They are hoping it works."
