A CATFORD bank clerk will stand trial next year accused of stealing £90k from a pensioner's saving account.

Sarah Adams, aged 31, of Datchet Road, denies siphoning the money into three accounts between July 2010 and August 2010, while working at Barclays bank on Lower Addiscombe Road, Croydon.

She pleaded not guilty to theft when she appeared at Southwark Crown Court on October 10.

Adams' trial is set for the week commencing January 7 next year.
