THE VICTIM of a hit-and-run in Bromley is in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
The cyclist, in his 60s, was hit by a car in Chislehurst Road, by Berryfield Close, at about 9.20pm on Monday evening (October 15).
London Ambulance Service treated the victim for his injuries before taking him to Kings College Hospital, Denmark Hill.
The car driver did not stop at the scene.
Bromley police said inquiries were still ongoing.
A Chislehurst Road resident, who did not wish to be named, saw the aftermath of the accident.
He said: “I saw flashing lights and went to see what was going on at around 9.15pm.
“The man was unconscious first of all but he came to later on, me and all the neighbours came out and put blankets on him.
“Then a GP walked by and said it was best not to move him.
“It took about an hour and fifteen minutes for the ambulance to arrive.”
Equipment from the scene, including an emergency foil blanket, was still there the next morning.
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to call the police on 101.

Were they hazard warning lights? Or from an emergency vehicle(s)?
ByTheWay: Do we know it was actually an ACCIDENT, or should the correct description be either TRAFFIC COLLISION or INCIDENT?
