Eltham Centre Speedo Sunday with Karen Pickering and Team GB's Harriet Lee

THE Eltham Centre hosted Speedo Sunday with Team GB paralympian Harriet Lee and star swimmer Karen Pickering.

More than 200 people turned up to take part in a series of free swimming activities.

Hosted by the two British swimming greats, who gave out autographed swim hats and medals, the day included keep fit sessions and a masterclass for members of the Greenwich Royals club.

Royals chairman Dickie Davis said: "It was great to see all the kids having so much fun. Exactly what swimming is all about.

"The kids were fixated when the Olympic and Paralympic athletes we giving them tips on training and answering their questions."
