BUDDING filmmakers from around the world are being invited to enter the 2013 Rob Knox Film Festival.

People can submit films of all genre and lengths for free up until March 19.

The festival was set up in memory of 18-year-old Harry Potter actor Rob Knox, who was murdered in Sidcup in 2008.

Festival director Michael Wearing said " The festival is an opportunity for novice and inexperienced filmmakers to exhibit films alongside some of the best independent film being made in the world."

Proceeds from the event - which aims to raise the profile of positive behaviour of young people, bring local and independent films to a wider audience, help young filmmakers and identify films that tackle social issues - will go to the Rob Knox Foundation.
