KENT Police is appealing for witnesses to a car crash in Gravesend on Sunday (October 14).

At around 1am a silver Peugeot, which had been travelling from Rochester Road, was in collision with a black Hyundai in Old Road East before colliding with two parked vehicles - a Vauxhall Corsa and Toyota Prius - as well as a wall.

Prior to the incident at 12.55am, officers attempted to stop the Peugeot after it was seen driving erratically.

The vehicle failed to stop and officers attempted to pursue the car, but the police car was damaged and unable to continue.

Other officers then saw the Peugeot’s collision with a number of other vehicles.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service attended to free three of the five men and South East Coast Ambulance Service also attended.

Four of the occupants of the Peugeot were taken to hospital with minor injuries while the 18-year-old driver was taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

He is now in a stable condition.
