A KILLER and his girlfriend have now admitted they lied to police over the death of 21-year-old James Harris-Durkin.
Liam Smith, formerly of Thorndon Close, St Paul’s Cray, pleaded guilty to manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Wednesday (October 10).
And the 26-year-old had been due to stand trial on November 26 along with his girlfriend Leanne Turner on a second charge of perverting the course of justice.
But Turner, also formerly of Thorndon Close, and Smith pleaded guilty to this charge at the Old Bailey today.
They will be sentenced at the court on November 20.
Father-of-three Mr Harris-Durkin was found suffering with a head injury in Court Road, Orpington, at around 3am on June 5.
He died at Kings College Hospital later that same day.
