Charlton Park Care Home responds over Care Quality Commission warning
10:00am Saturday 13th October 2012 in News By Mark Chandler
A CHARLTON care home criticised by inspectors over record-keeping has turned the situation around.
Charlton Park Care Home, in Cemetery Lane, was hit with a warning notice by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following an unannounced inspection in August.
Inspectors said that information was missing from the care records of some people living in the home who were receiving treatment for pressure sores.
They said this indicated that care may not have always been delivered as required, putting people there at risk of harm.
A spokesman for the home's operator Four Seasons Health Care said: "We put in place a comprehensive improvement plan to address this concern and the most recent inspection by the CQC, which took place last week, now reports that we are fully compliant in this area too.
"The home is compliant in all respects."
A CQC spokesman said they were "pleased" by the improvements.
