Nominations open for Bexley's Young People’s Sports Awards

NOMINATIONS are now open for Bexley’s annual Young People’s Sports Awards.
The event recognises and celebrates young people’s achievements in competitive sport as well as contributions they make through coaching, volunteering and officiating.
Sports clubs, teachers, coaches and families are invited to nominate any young person aged five to 19.
Categories also include best primary and secondary school in the borough.
Cabinet member for leisure, Councillor Don Massey, said: "The Young People’s Sports Awards are a special annual event which really boost the confidence of these young talented sportsmen and women.
"I wish all of the nominees the best of luck."
The closing date for nominations is January 4 and winners will be awarded at a ceremony on February 2.
