POLICE have released an e-fit image of a man they want to trace following a New Cross stabbing outside The Venue nightclub.
A 19-year-old male victim was found with a stab wound to his chest outside the club in New Cross Road on September 16 at around 3.30am.
Police believe the man got into an argument with a group of people outside The Venue and was followed to the 53 bus stop where the stabbing took place.
His attackers waited for him while he went to a nearby takeaway before knifing him and running off.
The e-fit image is of a suspect who produced a knife and is described as of Mediterranean heritage, chubby build, with freckles and a fair complexion.
He was wearing a baseball cap, a brown checked hooded top and light coloured baggy jeans.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Abraham Pino, of Lewisham CID, on 020 8284 8372 quoting reference CR3222320/12 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
