A WOOLWICH martial arts centre is holding free self-defence training for children as part of a session on the dangers of strangers.
Pyramid Martial Arts, based in Harrington Way, says the session could give parents peace of mind when their children are out and about.
Topics covered include basic self-defence, group discussions on strangers, and tips on how to stay safe.
Stacey Wilkins from the group said: "We want children to recognise what stranger danger is and how a child can respond to that situation, without placing themselves in further danger."
The session, open to youngsters aged from five to 11, starts at 11am and ends at 1pm on October 29.
