AIR cadets will soon be able to experience ‘so much more’ thanks to winning a charity’s minibus contest.
The 1903 (Penge) Squadron read in News Shopper about how Give2Give was planning to give away a vehicle to a community group in the borough.
And after sending in its application the group has been named as the lucky winner.
The squadron’s officer commanding Flight Lieutenant John Wohlgemuth said: "The Air Training Corps offers our youngsters so much, but without easy access to transport, many of these opportunities are missed.
“With the generous donation from give2give, it has made buying our own brand new bus a reality.
“We plan to place the order for our brand new minibus this month, which means next year we will be able to offer our cadets so much more. “
