CHARLTON’S X Factor finalist Jade Ellis avoided elimination after a stunning live performance of Enrique Iglesias’ ballad Hero.
The single mum "captivated" the judges with her emotional rendition, backed only by a grand piano, for Saturday’s live show.
The 25-year-old wowed viewers with her vocals as well as a sexy new look – teaming a black bodice and handkerchief skirt with red boots.
Judge Louis Walsh praised her saying: "Jade Ellis what a transformation. You look like an international pop star, I think we’ve only touched the tip of the iceberg with you.
"You’ve got great likeability. This girl deserves to be on the stage."
Commenting on her new style, Nicole Scherzinger said: "First of all girl, you are one hot mum, seriously."
Jade, who lives in a tower block with her six-year-old daughter Cayden, gave up singing to become a mum but now wants to pursue her dream for a better life for herself and her child.
Speaking before Saturday’s show, she said: "This is a big opportunity for me and my daughter. I am going to fight so hard to make sure we do have a different life after this."
She gained unanimous praise from the judges, with mentor Tulisa saying: "Jade, one of the most amazing transformations tonight. You look like a popstar, you perform like a popstar and every second you’re up there you’re just really captivating for all of us.
"I was just drawn to you the whole time. Absolutely amazing."
Gary Barlow added: "Jade this is very interesting, the first surprise of the night. Where have you been? You’ve been hiding away, you’re in a category that’s very strong this year and I think you may have been forgotten - until tonight."
Slightly tearful, Jade’s response was: "I’m just out of this world. I cannot believe I"m standing on this stage and I’m just loving every minute of it. The whole experience is just amazing. I’m not ready yet to go home."
To watch the Charlton hopeful, tune in to Saturday’s show at 8pm.
