THE 23-year-old woman who died in Swanley Village on Wednesday was stabbed to death.

Detectives have this afternoon (October 5) confirmed the cause of death as haemorrhage and stab wounds to the neck.

Although the woman has not been formally identified, online reports have named her as Natalie Jarvis.

A Facebook tribute page titled R.I.P Natalie Jarvis has more than 2,900 ‘likes’ in less than 24 hours.

A 22-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of murder after handing himself into police remains in custody and detectives have been granted extra time to question him.

Officers have until later this evening to charge or release him, or further time for questioning must be applied for from magistrates.

In a fresh appeal for information, officers are now appealing for a group of men seen on mopeds in Swanley Village shortly before the woman’s death to contact them.

Investigating officer, Detective Inspector Gavin Moss said: “We’ve had a number of calls regarding some men who were seen in the area on a moped at the time, who were reported to be shouting out to passers by.

“We would like to speak to these men, but I would stress that we don’t believe they are involved in this incident.

“However, given that they were in the area at the time they could have important information and we would urge them to make contact with us.”

Emergency services were called to Swanley Village Road at 11:18pm on Wednesday (October 3) to reports of a woman suffering from severe injuries.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate on 01634 884010 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

I didn't know her,i never will.Looking through the facebook tribute i can only say 2 things. What a happy and lovely girl.
What is this world (or country) coming to.
No respect and no fear, parents need to teach their kids,it IS DOWN TO YOU,you cannot blame them or society.
Apart from exceptional cases,a bad parent breeds a bad child breeds a bad child breeds a bad child.
Parents need to look closer to home and perhaps this pathetic cycle of violence might end.
RIP.
