Belvedere fashion blogger styles for celebrities
A SELF-MADE fashion blogger from Belvedere has been chosen to style a model in front of fashion royalty and celebrities at London’s Royal Courts of Justice.
Entrepreneurial fashionista Emma Hill, 27, was one of six people picked on a nationwide search by Look fashion magazine for undiscovered designers.
Her looks will be seen by designer Whitney Port, Sugababes' Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen, and The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia Bright among others on October 6.
Presenter and model Kelly Brook will also be on the catwalk.
Miss Hill impressed judges with pictures from her personal fashion blog that she runs from her house in Upper Abbey Road.
In the three years of running the site, she has gained a world-wide following with more than 7,000 people visiting it every day.
On her blog she talks about clothes and posts pictures of herself in High Street brands.
She said: "I experiment a lot, there are no rules really. I wear children’s and men’s clothes. I just throw it on.
"You don’t know if something works unless you try it.
"Mine’s an experimental style but I’m all about the High Street.
"I mean where are you going to wear a red carpet gown? At a Bexleyheath cinema?"
Miss Hill is hoping the fashion show will help her get into a famously competitive industry.
She said: "I’d like to feel this might open a few doors for me.
"It’s a struggle. I’m 27 now which to be honest feels older than other girls in the industry at the moment.
"I feel really privileged to be picked!"
Her dream is to be the first British blogger on the cover of a fashion magazine.
She said the fashion world is increasingly recognising blogging.
"Bloggers came along and we were hated at first," she said. "But now the industry is warming to us."
